hi

Once again, the wi-fi connection at Mario's does not appear to be working, so we are in the boy warrior's dungeon.
We had a briefer visit with Ivanna today since she was still sick and we were confined to the foyer. She did very well (as did we, at entertaining her) for quite a while. However, eventually the four walls could not hold her and she made it out of the room (she had actually tried several times earlier in our visit). We figured it was better to have a good time than a long and excrutiating time together.
This afternoon after a little rest (Darren has managed to pick up a cold somewhere - sharing germs already!), we headed back down to St Andrew's descent (artisans area). At the bottom Darren had had enough of the crafts and crowds and headed home (apparently being sick makes him a bit cranky -- lucky Shona). Shona stayed to pick up a few things for nieces and nephews. We both made it home successfully and then went for supper.
We are both feeling a bit tired and ready for a break from our daily commute, so tomorrow we are going back to church. Shona is particularly looking forward to nearly uninterrupted English language for a couple of hours.
Have a good Saturday.

Sorry to hear that you had picked up a cold Darren. Hope you get over it soon. Shona, try to rest, eat well and fend off the nasty little viruses that seem to be all around. I also hope that Ivanna gets over her cold soon too, and that all of you will be well very soon. Taking some time for yourselves to refresh your spirits sounds like an excellent way to spend Sunday.
Our love and good wishes to all of you,

Hi there,

Well, I just wrote a long comment only to be shut out of the library computer I have been writing on. Here we go again.

We're at Lakewood for Misha's romp n' play class. We were here a little early so took some time to come and look at pictures of you and Ivanna. We have a little ritual where we scan down through all the pictures you have sent thus far and Misha chooses the ones he wants to see enlarged. He really likes to take a closer look at Ivanna. He seems surprised everytime he sees a picture of you two and he declares with excitement "mom, its auntie and uncle". I think the concept of you being away doesn't quite get through. Anyways, he also asked to have the 'Jesus' statue enlarged. I informed him that it was Torass Shevchenko, a famous poet, and not Jesus. He remains firm that it is, in fact, Jesus. Judging from the amount of monuments, streets and parks named after Shevchenko in Kyiv, Misha's guess isn't too far off.

Sam is asleep in his stroller beside me and I may even go and read a little. A 'novel' concept (just for Jason) for me these days. We are going to start reading along with you in the Narnia series tonight. Jonathan informs me thatI have some catch up to do. As you know I'm famous for skimming so should catch up by tonight - I hope.

We will be eating Shwarma for Neil's b-day tomorrow. Jonathan has found a few recipes and is trying to choose which one he will start to vary. Yes, I am glad to have my cook again. Reheated pizza and other exciting fare was getting a bit old.

Sam just woke up. The reading will have to wait.

LOVE YOU

Tanis

We love you VERY MUCH.

There is a whole new spectrum of 'bugs' to which you have no immunity, I'm guessing. Surprising that you haven't picked up something before now, not that it's much comfort. Sorry son. Hope it is short-lived and that you're better very soon. May God strengthen you in every way-body, mind, soul and spirit.
We love you.

It's unfortuntate that you've picked up a bug Darren. Hope that it is short lived. We also are praying that Ivanna recovers very soon from her cold. Take care of each other. We are trying to do some yard work- I have to say our grass is a complete disgrace. Alan is trying to reassure me that it will only take a few weeks and it'll be much better. Here's hoping!!! Talk to you soon.

Hi guys,

Just wanted you to know that we're thinking of you lots. We hope the weekend has been restful for both of you and that you're soon feeling much better, Darren.

We're all enjoying the pictures of the two of you with Ivanna. It's wonderful to see how God is bringing you together as a family.
Luka, much like Misha, likes to see the photos enlarged. He is particularly interested in the action shots of Ivanna on the riding toys & trikes. When he saw Friday's photo of Ivanna on the yellow and black trike he said, "Ivanna's on a mission!" We're so looking forward to seeing you and meeting your little love this summer! Know that we are praying for you, for Ivanna's cold to clear up, and for your court date. Love you.
